All servers have finally been moved to the new NOC.  For the most part the move went very well.   If anyone is having issues please contact us as soon as possible.

We appreciate everyones business and their patience during the move.  I know it was rough for a couple of you.

All the new servers were updated to a faster dual or quad core processor,  a faster system cache, faster drives and a more reliable network.   Basically, the servers and service will be faster than ever before.

Some of the servers were more than 5 years old and I wanted to update to a new system that will be easier to manage and upgrade in the future as technology advances. This is why we switched to a new NOC (network operations centers), and the bonus of having brand new servers is that each one of them is built for speed and reliability!  The new NOC has a great uptime record and should rival the old one easily.

All in all I can say that the move is going to benefit everyone involved and I am glad it was done.
Thank you,

We will be installing new and updated tutorials over the course of this next Month or 2.  New tutorials will include DNS functions such as changing your DNS and creating private nameservers (for the resellers).

Updated tutorials will include the newer Rvskin cpanel 11 themes and functions and we will be adding some new programs/software tutorials to the ftp section.

I am also considering a horde mail and squirrel mail tutorial and perhaps a wordpress tutorial.  I am always open to suggestions as well so you can use our contact us form at any time with your ideas.
Thank you,

We are offering our lifetime sale for all hosting plans this week.  It is a great opportunity for everyone and I always enjoy running a lifetime hosting sale.

So many have asked me how we can give lifetime hosting and still be in business.  It’s simple really.  We have 1000’s of clients and the majority of them are not lifetime clients.

This is a family run business and it will still be in operation long after I am gone.

My wifes Birthday was on the 1st of July (Merilee).

We (me and the children), got her lots of presents and had a nice cookie cake for her.

Merilee is more than my wife, she is my best friend and soulmate.  Truly the one that made me complete and brought the joy of life to me.  Our family would be lost without her.

I love you always Babe.

Our youngest daughter turned 1 on the 21st of June and we had her very first poolside luau here at home.  It was great fun and I look forward to doing it every year.  It is just so amazing how quickly the time passes.

On the 29th of June our oldest daughter turned 18 and moved out on her own.  It was an extremely sad event for me.  I feel as though a part of me is gone even though I still see and talk to her a lot.  There feels like an empty hole is at home to me now.

We have updated all servers fantastico to offer Joomla 1.5 as of yesterday.
We are also updating most servers to apache 2.2 instead of apache 2.0.  We have done this one hosting 4 and hosting 3 so far and the reset will follow soon.

The SEO pages are behind schedule so I have moved the date to May (I hate changing a goal), and hopefully I will have enough time to sit down and complete this task.

We are also running some tests on servers for backups.  Starting this month (testing), and hopefully in production next month will be dual backups.  We will save backups on a weekly and Monthly basis.  I know some of you would like to see backups done daily, but that just seems wasteful to me.  It burns up so many resources and it is just not worth it…….. in my opinion.   So we will hold a weekly backup (refreshes each week), and a Monthly backup as well.   Remember, it is ALWAYS WISE to keep backups of your site on your PC at all times!  In fact, it is wise to buy a backup drive for your PC and keep your important files there as well.   The WORST way to learn this lesson is when you need it and don’t have it.  Those people who have been through a PC crash or hard disc death……….. KNOW about keeping files, pictures…. data… EVERYTHING … on a backup drive.   It has nothing to do with hosting.  I just wanted to offer that bit of advice.  If I save one person from the misery of a PC crash, then this post was worth it.

We are also looking into changing/swapping hard drives later this year on at least 2 servers.   This would be done around Oct roughly and we will certainly let everyone know about it well before it is done.

If anyone has any input or ideas, anything you want….. please use our contact form:

Thank you.
Sincerely,

Today our IPs and office ISP are being reset and redone completely.  This leaves us here at the office completely in the dark for roughly 24 hours.  It’s hard to explain but it’s for the best and will be a one time deal only…..  I am going to probably go nuts waiting on the net…  .   but will use our iPhones and hopefully everything will be smooth.

If you have any problems you can call us .
Sincerely
Johnnie
